Yeah, If I had the funding, I'd LOVE to strap on a GPS, a GO pro and ride famous DH trails so I can reproduce them in game! I may at least visit a few famous west coast spots to take pictures etc. The binary nature of the key board doesn't make for a great steering controller, as anyone whos played racing games on the pc knows.

I'm also considering using the mouse for turning, or at least having that option.

But, why not? Maybe you could turn it on in an 'expert mode'. So, you can see how adding yet another key for front brake would be maybe hard to fit in. A speed meter will show you how fast you are going and right next to it is your current gear, so you can easily see if you need to shift up or down. On top of that, I want to do a gearing system that uses the mouse wheel to shift up and down. Also, in the air, W throws your weight forward, and S throws it back. Right now in the prototype, I've got standard keyboard WASD for pedal, left / right and brake. I've considered it making the separate front / rear braking, but yeah, it all comes down to a control scheme that will be intuitive. I want to then run a Kickstarter campaign to raise the money need to really complete the game correctly, with all the environments everyone wants, fluid controls and all the cool features that should be included.Д«ut to get there, I need your interest and support. The goal is to take the prototype to a functional 'alpha' build stage, where it looks good and can be shown off. The current prototype build has a working downhill mountain bike with rider, fully animated with working front and rear suspension, accurate physics, bunny-hopping, skidding and basic sound effects. I've already dropped a chunk of cash for assets and programming costs into it as well as many many hours spent. I am currently the only person working on it, besides my programmer that I sometimes hire. With a little bit of game design experience and lots of web and graphic design experience, I decided to do something about it myself, and started designing and developing Singletrack Flow. I one day noticed that there just wasn't a good modern mountain biking game out there. I'm a long time lover of both mountain biking and PC gaming. It's going to be a downhill / free-ride oriented game, focusing on smooth flowy trail riding, jumps, drops, ladders and everything else that's fun on a bike. It's called Singletrack Flow, and I've been working on it off and on for about a year now. I'd like to introduce the development of a new mountain biking game for the PC.
